What type of champion would you like to breed?
Foxwind's pedigree is filled with exceptional performance producing horses including Donauwind, Abiza *E* and Carino *E* just to name a few.
Foxwind's sire, Palmenwind, was best known and appreciated for his quiet, gentle laid back nature, which he consistently passed on to his offspring. Due to Palmenwind's late start in the breeding shed and his untimely passing there are only a few representatives of this athletic, performance-oriented sire around today.
At four years old, Foxwind stands over 16.2 hands with a 74" girth and 8 ½" cannon. At first glance he is a proud horse possessing a modern warmblood build, perfect for adding substance to Thoroughbreds and refining old style warmblood mares. This young stallion has displayed exceptional talent in free jumping and moves in a relaxed, ground covering manner on the flat - perfect for the hunter ring.
Foxwind was presented to the CTHS and the CSHA for breeding approval in 2005 and we are proud to announce he was accepted into both Stud Books. In order to prepare for the next phase of his career, Foxwind has furthered his under saddle training this winter to include jumping small courses with his owner in the saddle. This speaks volumes of his fantastic amateur-friendly disposition and teriffic rideability.
His first crop of foals will begin arriving shortly and we are excited to see how Foxwind complimented the Thoroughbred mares that were bred in 2005.
