Tanzeln - Premium Trakehner Stallion
Tall, beautiful, elegant and powerful, Tanzeln is a lovely stallion with three excellent, well balanced gaits, an excellent temperament and wonderful presence. He is one of only 4 North American stallions ever given Premium designation. Tanzeln competed successfully through 3rd level dressage before an untimely injury at 6 yrs old ended his career.
Fortunately Tanzeln is living up to his promise as a premium stallion by siring offspring with type, excellent gaits, balance, athleticism and great temperaments. They are level-headed, brave, friendly and very trainable. His younger foals are competing well in-hand, while several from his first 2 foal crops have shown in training level and materiale classes with excellent results. Tanz's first daughter Kiera won multiple 2009 shows and finished as 2009 Region 9 ABIG open training level champion, 5th in the nation 4/5 year old mare materiale, and reserve champion in the Southwest Dressage Championship (4 yrs old & the youngest in her classes). Other of his offspring are currently headed for eventing and h/j careers.
Tanz's sire, Enrico Caruso *Ps*E* is one of the top Dressage producing stallions in Germany and sired the well-known Trakehner stallion Kostolony. Tanzeln's dam line is that of Dankeschön III, known for producing significant stallions, with a strong foundation, great lines and impulsion in all gaits -- this is the family of Schöner Abend, Schwarzdorn and Tannenberg.
Tanzeln's foals provide excellent proof that he crosses well with Trakehners, TB's and part-Arab mares. His offspring are living up to their sire's great promise and uniformly inheriting his beautiful head, his "presence" and his fantastic personality.

Tanzeln scored 9's for walk/canter, 8's for trot/walk/type with the following comments by the ATA Inspection Committee:
Very good, fluid, supple, ground-covering walk. Good trot with rythmic uphill movement. Very good, balanced uphill canter with reaching hind leg engagement.
Good willing jumper showing good technique and bascule. Relaxed way over jumps.
Excellent temperament in a middle weight stallion. Good athleticism and movement in all the gaits. Should help mares who need movement and athletic ability.
