Foundation bred, double registered Spanish Mustang / Sorraia Mustang

Kola Waste has what it takes tobe a superb sire and example of his kind. With his first 2 extraordinary colts onthe gound, we are more than excited. He is registerd with Spanish Mustang, South West Spanish Mustang, as well as Sorraia Mustang, due to his excellent conformation and rare solid grullo color. His temperament is very sweet and people friendly as all his relatives of his blood line. He passed on his trades to his first colts, a solid dun and a colorful grulla appaloosa - see pics.
The pictures show him in summer 2006 as a three year old, not fully grown jet as Spanish Mustangs mature late, between 6-7 years of age.
Most of his kind are very smooth to sit, at 14 - 14.3hh suitable for children and adults alike and can exhibit an additional single foot gate which quite often does not show until ridden. Their stamina and performance as endurance horses is legendary.
Currently endurance rider and multiple Tevis Cup participant, 88 year old Bob Richesin, is owning and training one of our geldings and is very happy with him. He is convinced that in 2007 he will prove himself in some 50 mile races.
I personally enjoy their health, super sound hoofs, but most of all their inteligence and ability to bond with people. They love activity and play, therefore perform very well on cattle, in reining, as well as dressage and jumping alike. As carriage and combined driving horses they have recently started to attract the publics eye. Anything fun for the rider is also fun for this tough little horse.
True Spanish Mustangs are rare. Sorraia types even rarer, only a few dozen existing inthe US and a coupleof hundret in hte world, the true decendent of the former world famous Spanish war horses. Come, visit us anytime at Plenty Star Ranch, SD and see them in action!
