Talented black Connemara Pony stallion
Stormy was first trained to drive and then put under saddle as a 5 year old and competed on a limited basis in Montana. He was shown USDF at lst level with respectable scores, as well as green hunter classes, winning his first time out over fences, the only pony in the class.
Stormy's sire, Hideaways Greystone Alex, competed in nearly every discipline during his career, including driving, eventing and endurance riding, as well as being one of the top producing sires in the breed. With this background, I expected Stormy would be successful in competition as well as a successful sire.
Primarily bred to mares from other breeds, he has provent to be prepotent in producing his type and ability from a variety of mares. He has consistently stamped his foals with good bone and depth of body as well as his refined neck and typical Connemara "pony" head. His youngsters have been notable for their exceptional trainability and work ethic and have competed successfully as hunters as well as eventing and dressage.
He has proven to be quite reliable in producing offspring that mature 14.2 and under when bred to mares up to 15.1 hands, as he does not carry oversize Connemaras in his immediate pedigree.
He is very reliable for collections and has numerous foals produced by shipped semen. His stud fee includes the first collection, with additional collections currently $125, if required.
