IMA LITTTLE RUSTY is his APHA reg name. We call him Rusty. He was destined for the show circut in Seattle but an unfortunate injury as a foal left him up in the air. Vet said he would never be sound to ride or maybe not even pasture sound. I recieve him at 2, small and unsure of his future. He has turned out to be more then I could have hoped for. Rusty has a heart of gold and would never let this injury slow him down. At 3 he was running the fence line hoping for one of the girls to come visit. So I started him light. Turns out he forgot he was hurt. He is now running barrels like a champ. He was consistant 5th last year everywhere we compeated. Reserve High Point series end at ST. MARIES. This year his first event of the year, fat and out of shape, pulled HIGH POINT (athol PDIA omoksee). Took Reserve in Priceton 50th aniversery Omoksee (25 riders in our group)- lost by one placing, his boot came off in the middle of the run or we would have swept it!! He can catch anyone on the straits but turning hurts him a little or he would untouchable. He is built for speed and brains with a perfect combination. Rusty sire is QUINCYS CAT out of SIR QUINCY DAN one of the few all time leading sires of Paint Preformance horses out of QUINCY DAN AQHA hall of famer to a DIXES WAR DRUM mare who was another leading Paint preformance producer . Then you move down to line to his sires dam side. She was out of the great TWO BARS HEIR a 6x bred THREE BARS stallion to a HIRED HAND/PALE FACE mare that was a cutting ranch horse extrodinare. This is just the top side. Rusty Dam is out of the likes of THE OLE MAN(SI-100 AAAT ), THE GODFATHER (APHA champion, cutting and reining), RED BEE SAM (out of two the most popular horses at the time TOP MACHINE and AMIGO BABY --check out her pic--) and MUSIC MOUNT.
He has a half brother from the same sire SAINT PATS CAT goes for $1250 a breeding in seattle. He is western pleasure up the wahoo. Do a goggle search for him, with Rustys movements and attiude ,they could be a twins! The Quincy line if famous for there looks, personality and want to please.
The pics on the left are Rusty the pic on the right one of his colts. At 3 he took his first high point and reserve high point last weekend. He runs his own pace and cleans house. Can beat a 2D barrel horse on poles everytime. I cant wait tell next year when he can actually run hard!!
