We couldn't have asked for more when we received Rusty. I knew that we had no room for a stud. I decided that I would give him a chance to prove that he was worth the time money to keep. He far exceeded my every expectation. Brains and ability were my number one concern, he just so happened to have color, character, a kind heart, and gentle being as a bonus. Our first ride was bareback with a halter, next to one on the mares. He never batted an eye. 2 weeks later he competed in his first barrel competition at a lope and never missed a beet. He has a smooth gait, lead chages with little effort, perfect western head set, bomb proof, kid safe, and a fast learner. He will do anything for anyone or die trying. Heart of Gold.
Rusty genetically carries 3 paint patterns. Tabino (mostly color with white patches- from sire), Overo (no white crossing the back-from dam), and Sabino (splashed look, high socks, chin/eye spots, and roaning effect- his gradsire was known to throw all 3 patterns 98% of the time)-
I am proud to offer his personality with bloodlines and looks as an added bonus. I am cheap as our economy is down, and horses are dirt cheap. I truly believe Rusty deserves to make his impact on the horse world.
