Hit Parade is a talented young stallion who has earned the respect of judges, trainers, and riders across the US with his impressive performances in the FEI Young Horse tests. In 2007 he qualified for his first trip to the US National Championships with owner/rider Sandy Burns-Gardner. Hit Parade finished in fourth position overall and was the highest placed five- year-old stallion.
This season, Hit Parade has gained strength and expression and started off the year with scores in the 70’s at Second and Third Level. He was ranked first in the nation going into the 2008 Young Horse National Championships with an 8.34 average. Under the trying weather conditions, Hit Parade maintained his composure and again finished fourth at the finals and was still the highest placed stallion.
Hit Parade is by the Sandro Hit son Show Star. Show Star was the Federal Champion at three years old, Reserve Champion at four years old, and finished second in the prestigious Nürnberg Burgpokal, a final for young Prix St. Georges horses. Show Star is proving himself in the breeding shed as well and has sired a number of Elite Auction offspring. Grandsire Sandro Hit won the Bundeschampionat and the FEI Young Horse World Championships as a 6-year-old. Sandro Hit’s influence is now felt across all major registries and his offspring are highly sought after.
Esprina, the dam of Hit Parade, has also produced the licensed stallion Roman Nature. Roman Nature was the federal champion of 3-year-old stallions and was vice champion at the World Championships in the Netherlands for 5-year-old horses. The significant Rhineland sires, Ehrentusch, sire to Christine Traurig’s Olympic mount Etienne, and the former approval winner, Pasternak, are found on Hit Parade’s damline.
Hit Parade’s first foals, out of a Bugatti mare and a Ferro mare, both received Premium designations at their foal inspections and one received a score of 8.5 on movement. While Hit Parade continues to focus on his competitive career, we will look forward to producing more Premium offspring through the use of his frozen semen.
